BAAAAAAD football analysis
Its Aggy superbowl week. I hope this turns out better than Frog superbowl. I'm thinking the Aggies might have a reason to go get Frans former assistant after Saturday. They say they changed, they say they are better, and they get to play at Kyle. But I believe the Raiders are ripe for another big win. Fran just cant figure it out and now he doesn't have the athlete advantage the Aggy have enjoyed. What to do?
8 of 11 and 4 of 5 have gone our way. Who cares about streaks this year. We need a big win to restore the momentum of the program. The Frogs have successfully introduced Tech to the grind of the season. Tech needs to pour it on and finish them off in front of 88,000 plus including the Kingfish/Helmut and friends. If they cant, it is going to be Houston or San Antonio for December. I just cant handle anything worse than San Diego.
How to do it? We need to run the football. We need to pass the football. We need to score 7 to 9 touchdowns. Tall order and speaking of tall orders, thank you NCAA for the return of the greatness of Jarrett Hicks. With Jarrett back, there will be some gaps in the secondary. Jarrett will demand the two deep or double from Aggy on most downs. Speaking of gaps, will the Aggy D return with the 1-11 from last year? I hope so.
Tech Defense. What a great run this bunch has had. Since they saw Vince in Austin these guys have led and willed the team to some gutty victories and kept Tech in some close games. Keep up the great play! I cant recall a better team defense in years. Lyle Setencich, the defensive guru has truly done a great job of teaching and establishing a great two-deep.
In the end, I think if Aggy scores fewer points then we do, we will probably win the game. Wooly Bully!

moving on
A couple of days ago, a man stopped my car in the intersection and asked if I could give him a ride downtown. I started to shake my head no and then he said, "I am a Katrina evacuee." I replied, "Sir, that was 13 months ago, are you just now getting out?" I promptly rode away.
I am not going to work in Shreveport anymore. I have done my fair share of contributing to the tax cofers of Louisiana. I sleep easy at night knowing that money is being used efficiently and without corruption.
I am looking for a 'real job'. I will settle for nothing less than 'real money'.

The art of my depression.
Imagine being locked inside a room with the theme of Rockford Files constantly being played.
Rockford theme
Bummer.
So far my job search has yielded ONE "REAL" interview. I dont count the numerous offers from insurance companies and quick buck pyramid scammers. Today this dude claimed he had the hottest thing since Microsoft and I could be on the ground floor. I asked him if it was plastics and he didn't get it. He didn't get me either.
I am on a diet. It is working and I am losing weight. If I stay depressed another couple of months I might be able to get to my target weight loss of two 3rd graders.
If the Raiders lose to Baylor they might have to lock me up in the state mental hospital. How in the hell do we suck so bad to score only 3 points? Terrible.

The career shuffle
I know what to do with the rest of my life. I think. I have decided that I am not happy anymore with my current circumstance so I have decided to change it. Beautiful thing about life in the US is that you can really do it.
I want to make money now. A load of it. I want to work hard, deliver, and make the real deals, with the real owners. Sure, you can save your money wont buy happiness speech for the romantics. I'm sure the poor and huddled masses elsewhere wouldn't hesitate. That is crap. Money makes me happy. Money enables me to have fun, travel, and be generous. I am tired of being a peasant. Further, I think the game and pursuit are exactly what I need.
Things I can do that I used to not do that i will be able to do:
5 star restaurants
Golf
Resort trips
Vegas
Mexico
New Orleans for Jazz fest
Football season tickets
Hockey
New Cars
Hot tub
Expensive Health Club membership
Hot Girlfriends
It's on.

High tide and green grass.
Here comes your 19th nervous breakdown.
Sorry for the lack of postings. I had the flu all week and finally decided to come back. I have a few things to say first before the rant.
First, summer is over and I have been drinking since half past june. Not really, but I re-worded some cool song lyrics to come up with that.
Second, A camera phone flask would be nice to market to the college kids.
Now the rant. I went to the Tech-TCU fiasco this weekend. Where is the Lexapro?
85 year old grumpy old man sitting two rows above me.
Hey Hey, you you, get off of my ass during the game and quit yelling at me to sit down. Just because this is the first Tech game you could attend since the hey day of J. T. King doesn't mean we all got to sit and watch. I come to make noise and have fun. Good luck with that hypertension and wish me luck with mine. ASS!
Frog Club parkers 5 minutes before game
Way to go on the thinking. 5 minutes before kickoff and you idiots decide to pull in and park whilst everyone is jamming into stadium. Time is not on your side with the brethren in town. We aint fucking UAB, even though we played like it Saturday.
TCU FANS
I really wish I could hate you, but I cant get no satisfaction. I thought the frogs showed more class than the Nebraska fans during the 60 point asswhoopin days of the 90's. Funny how losing turns your attitude.
What the Filani, Mike!
Where is the fight? Is TCU really that good? Were we ready to play? I use to love you, is it all over now?
Good Times, Bad Times
All I can say is. My Uncle Brent is a first class showman. He and some of his ATO fraternity brothers from the 60's put on an outstanding feed. The brisket and sausage were better than Angelo's could dream. I want to thank those guys and gals again for doing all of that hard work. I know they probably fed about 3000. Also, the Hogg Maulies were awesome. They played a full set and sounded great. Rodie Morrow is a distant cousin or somesuch and he and the band are always fun. It is good to see the youth of Roby and Rotan, Texas prospering.
As tears go by
The game was less expensive and more painful than a root canal.
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time, I dont know. We play the frogs in Fort Worth, fall of 2011.

everybody is working for the weekend.
Random thoughts.
1. The Crock hunter guy dies and everyone goes bezerko. I dont get it, I dont really care, and I dont understand why everyone is so interested. Does this make me an asshole for not caring?
2. I always feel the cold illness coming on before I actually get the bad symptoms, but I really cant do much about them. Is there a Dristan nasal spray conspiracy to prevent a cure for the cold?
3. Why is my emotional wellbeing tied to the outcome of a football contest? I know this is stupid, and shalllow, and yet I like it even though i get dissapointed time and again. Am I the battered spouse unwilling to press charges?
4. Mexican food is the greatest invention of all times.
5. On Sunday, I am going to listen to the Beatles, read the Sunday New York Times, and watch the US Open Tennis Final. Then I am going to wrap a hot towel around my head a take a nap.
6. TCU weekend at the hacienda starts a week from today. Can you smell the puffy tostado?

My job cover letter.
To whom it may or may not concern,
I am looking at switching careers. I want high pay, control, and underlings to do my bidding. I am still holding out hope that Haiti will call on me to become their ruler. I always wanted to live in Hispanola. I would also like to get a gig on a radio show that paid. A stipend might be nice to have every now and again. Enough about that, just wanted to let you know I'm not a stiff without goals.
Anyway, if you want a semi-middle age white guy to tell you what to do and are willing to part with your money to make that happen, I am your man. I love people. I know how to speak English. I can make a speech. I can also think for myself. Most importantly, I have mastered email, looking interested in staff meetings, and playing hookey from work. I am apt at conjuring fake illness and always find that subtle remark to soothe your inhibitions about my lackluster performance. Unfortunately, I cant fill any needed racial quotas, but can be labeled "GAY" for the right price if you need that. Other than the mental, I am relatively disease free. I know how to wear a suit but would prefer pumps, shorts, and Mexican tuxedo.
If interested please submit a resume request and what you would like to see on it.
Thanks,
Fish
